Privacy Policy

This policy covers hyremako.com, which is run by HyreMako ("we", "us", "our"). We help people in Australia apply for remote roles with employers, and the sections below explain which personal information that involves and how it is looked after.
Information you give us
Our application form collects your name, age, gender, nationality, email address and WhatsApp number. You may also enter an iMessage number (iPhone) or an RCS number (Android) if you would like to be contacted that way.
After you submit the form
Submitting the form opens WhatsApp with a pre-written message to our HR team. That message is only sent if you press Send. Your form answers are received by us at the moment you submit, even if the WhatsApp message is never sent.
Information we will not request
At no point will HyreMako request a password, a verification code, your online banking details or a copy of an identity document, whether through this site or in a WhatsApp chat.
Why we use it
Your information lets us answer you, describe the roles available and, if you agree, introduce you to an employer. You are told which employer it is before anything is shared. Your details are never sold, and they are not used for marketing.
Who processes it for us
These providers handle information on our behalf: Waformly runs the application form; Cloudflare hosts the website and forwards email sent to our address; WhatsApp, a Meta service, carries any messages you send us; Google Analytics produces visit statistics; Meta measures visits that arrive from our Facebook and Instagram ads; and Google Fonts supplies the lettering on these pages. Their own privacy terms apply to what they hold.
Visit statistics and cookies
Pages on this site use Google Analytics 4, measurement ID G-GZV172LCGN. It uses cookies to count visits and to note general details such as browser, device, rough location and which pages were viewed. Your name, contact numbers and form answers are not passed to it. Cookies can be blocked or cleared from your browser settings.
Facebook and Instagram ads
If you reach us from a Facebook or Instagram ad, the Meta Pixel on these pages tells Meta that a page was viewed and, after a successful application, that a Lead and a Purchase (a fixed value of RM1, used only to measure advertising) happened. Your form answers are not included. HyreMako may also report that Lead and Purchase to Meta directly from its server through the Meta Conversions API, which passes along your IP address, browser information and Meta cookie identifiers so the result can be linked to the ad. Ad preferences can be changed in your Facebook or Instagram account.
Overseas storage
Part of this information may be stored or processed by our providers outside Australia, for example in the United States.
Retention
Applicant information is deleted 12 months after we were last in touch with you, or earlier if you ask.
Access, correction and deletion
Email careers@hyremako.com to see the information we hold, have it corrected or have it deleted. You will hear back within 30 days. If your details were already sent to an employer with your consent, that employer keeps its copy under its own policy.
Children
The site is intended for adults who are looking for work. It is not aimed at children.
Updates
When this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
